Our Vision and Values
We work together as a community. Therefore we have consulted with our stakeholders (parents/members of staff/children/governors) to find out what is important to you.
These are our priorities:
- Ensuring the children were interested, motivated and engaged in their learning.
- That the children feel safe and happy whilst at school and know who to talk to if they have any worries
- The children know they will be listened to and staff will support them
- Teachers know they are ‘making a difference’ and all staff feel valued in the role they have within the school
- That children achieve well and are ready for their next stages of learning, be it year group, key stage or moving on to secondary school
- Progress even over circumstance
Our Mission: What we want to achieve for our children when they walk out of the door at the end of Year 6
For every child to receive a quality education so they can thrive in their next stage of learning. No exceptions.
Our Vision: How we will achieve what we want for our children when they walk out of the door at the end of Year 6
Every member of staff shows an unwavering commitment to do their best by the children and each other.
The ethos and values of our school contribute to the academic achievement, personal development and well-being of all learners, regardless of their ability or background. Our school values: Honesty, Respect Consideration, Courage and Endeavour underpin all that we do at Lane End Primary School.
Honesty: Children are encouraged to be honest about their mistakes in order to move forward. This is how we learn.
Respect: Children understand that to earn respect you have to show respect.
Consideration: Children are encouraged at all times to think of others’ feelings and reflect on how their actions can impact on others.
Courage: Children are encouraged to move out of their comfort zone in order to explore new experiences and discover things about themselves they never knew they could achieve!
Endeavour: Children understand the importance of perseverance when learning and how this sometimes takes courage.
