special Educational Needs & disabilities
Lane End Primary School is a mainstream, fully inclusive primary school. Our ethos at Lane End Primary School is to put the child’s needs first. By doing this, we enable children to develop personally, socially, emotionally and academically in all areas of the curriculum, regardless of their gender, ethnicity, social background, religion, sexual identity, physical ability or educational need.
We achieve this by developing our teachers and support staff to be well equipped and confident to teach children with SEND, therefore ensuring excellence for all.
We believe that your child’s education should be a partnership between the child, parents and teachers. We can offer advice and practical ways that you can help your child at home, and will do everything we can to support your child at school. We also have an expectation that parents engage with support provided by the school and external agencies in order to achieve the best outcomes for the child.
We have an open-door policy where parents/carers are welcome at any time to make an appointment to meet with either the class teacher or SENDCO to discuss any concerns.
Parents are also able to access independent support, advice and information from Bucks SEND-IAS Service: www.buckscc.gov.uk/send-ias. .
