Pupil Premium Information

At Lane End Primary School we have high expectations for all of our pupils. We plan the expenditure of our Pupil Premium funding based on the context of our school and our pupils' needs, informed by evidence based research.

In addition to the above, we also recognise that a lot of the work we do for our disadvantaged children doesn’t have a direct cost, except that of time. A lot of this work you don’t see; the teachers who walk a child home after school because it means they can attend a club, the additional phone calls with families who need that extra step of communication, the toast for the child who didn’t have time for breakfast or a shoulder to cry on for a mum in need of support. At Lane End, this needs to come first so that children are ready to learn when they are in the classroom.
