Spanish
In September 2021, we changed our Modern Foreign Language from German to Spanish. The main reason for this is that Spanish is more widely taught at the local secondary schools and we want to make sure we prepare our pupils for their next stage of education.
As Spanish is a new language for all children at Lane End Primary School, all classes entered at Stage 1 to ensure knowledge was acquired in preparation for subsequent years. We are now entering our second year of teaching Spanish and have worked closely with the Primary Languages Network to ensure children continue to progress their knowledge of the Spanish Language as they continue on their journey through KS2.
