50 things to do before you leave lane end primary school
Each child has their own scrapbook with a list of 50 activities to complete. All the activities are fun and low cost experiences. The idea is for children to work their way through completing the activities, in any order, keeping a scrapbook of evidence as they go. Some activities can be completed quite quickly, others will take a lot longer. You can be as creative as you like and think as widely as possible about how each activity could be completed and what the evidence could look like. If a child completes their '50 things', we will subsidise their Year 6 residential trip by £50!
Resilience
At Lane End Primary School, we consider being 'stuck' to be a good thing! We aim to promote and develop children's resilience towards a wide range of situations across the school day to encourage problem solving skills and independence of learning.
Year 6 have created an inspiring film to help children understanding the importance of resilience in learning.
Purple Mash
Purple Mash is an online learning platform that Lane End Primary School uses to support the computing curriculum. It also has a vast range of resources for the wider curriculum and children can access homework set by the class teacher by clicking on the '2Do' button once logged in.

Charanga yumu
Yumu is an online space where children can develop their musical skills at home. A home learning unit and a singing unit have been added to Yumu for each class to explore, and your child's teacher may also allocate some specific music home learning activities. We can also allocate musical instrument lessons to pupils, so if you have an instrument at home and would like some online lessons, please contact Mrs Hayes through the school office.
